From Highways to Habitats – Cozy Chaos in Games

🌆 Oak Hills: Highway Headaches & Green Fixes

When I sat down to play Cities: Skylines II this week, my plan was simple: make Oak Hills more beautiful with trees and parks. A calm, cozy session, right? Well… not exactly.

First came an unexpected electrical bottleneck ⚡ — thankfully, a quick fix. But then I got completely sidetracked by the challenge of building an elevated highway. What should have been a straightforward upgrade turned into a full-on headache of ramps, curves, and traffic flow.

In the end, though, Oak Hills found its balance. I wrapped up with a sped-up montage of trees and parks, bringing back the calm and greenery I’d originally envisioned. 🌳✨

The episode will release on Jan. 7 on my YouTube channel – https://www.youtube.com/@bosseladytv

🐾 Planet Zoo: Habitats Gone Wild

Meanwhile, over in Planet Zoo, my cozy intentions have taken a different turn. I’m still learning the game, and my biggest challenge so far has been scale. I keep building habitats way too large — sprawling enclosures that look impressive but leave me wondering how to balance space, guests, and aesthetics.

It’s a reminder that cozy doesn’t always mean big. Sometimes the charm comes from smaller, intentional spaces where animals and visitors feel connected. And while my oversized habitats make me laugh, they’re also teaching me how to refine my approach and embrace the learning curve.

The first episode of my Planet Zoo series is available on YouTube now.

🌿 Cozy Chaos as Part of the Journey

Both Cities: Skylines II and Planet Zoo remind me that cozy gaming isn’t about perfection. It’s about the journey — the hiccups, the humor, and the little victories that make each session memorable.

Highways that refuse to cooperate, habitats that sprawl too far… these moments are part of the charm. And when the chaos settles, there’s always room for calm: a tree-lined boulevard, a park bench, or a habitat that finally feels just right.
